Lib Tech Golden Orca Snowboard 2026
The Golden Orca is a board that provides awesome off-trail performance without sacrificing too much everywhere else. It's definitely most at home in soft snow and technical terrain, but doesn't feel completely out of place if conditions don't line up. A floaty nose and playful feel allow it to crush soft snow and trees, while a medium-stiff flex pattern makes sure it holds up elsewhere. If you spend all your time on icy East Coast hardpack, you might want to look elsewhere. The Golden Orca does fine on groomers, but it's designed to do more.
Lib Tech's C2X, a reverse camber variation, places all the board's energy beneath your feet and allows for effortless pivoting. The only downside of the reverse camber shape is you sacrifice some hard snow integrity. The mid-stiff profile allows the board to stay confident and composed at higher speeds, but it's not going to feel as precise and gripped as something with a traditional camber profile. If all you want to do is charge groomers, there are better boards. The Golden Orca wants to explore. Because of that reverse camber shape, the Golden Orca is a weapon in the trees. It takes nothing to turn and will elevate your ability to rip through trees and whatever else is in front of you. If you roll up to a nice little cliff drop or side hit, the Orca is in, it's loaded with pop. This board is designed for those who want to venture beyond the groomers and take their riding to the next level.
